MEET BABY ORANGUTAN NIA
Nia is a young orangutan whose journey began with rescue and hope. Brought to the Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, Nia represents the resilience and spirit of her species. Her early days were marked by hardship, but thanks to the dedicated team at the centre, she is now thriving and learning essential survival skills through a special “Forest School” program.
At Forest School, Nia is taught how to climb, forage, and interact with other orangutans, preparing her for a future return to the wild. Her story is a testament to the importance of conservation and the positive impact of giving these incredible animals a second chance at life. Nia’s progress inspires hope for orangutans everywhere and highlights the vital work being done to protect Borneo’s wildlife.
